I won something? I forgot there was a contest. Looking over the results it looks like we both got 14 but I did all the categories so I had an unfair advantage.

Very interesting choices by the way–especially the second one (which I will not reveal until your review comes out). Then again I expected nothing less my good man.

Dear JPFMovies, this isn’t really a comment about this post, but I have been lurking on the site for a while and have gotten addicted…what happened to your postings? My friend Pam and I have a running bet where we try to predict what movie you will review next but neither of us has ever won and I am dying to know if my prediction will be right this time (you already said you would review the Inside Job so our bet is for the next one after that). Please, post something soon!

P.S. I don’t mean to give you a hard time– I know life intervenes sometimes. I hope everything is all right.

You know it is interesting that you would mention that because I have been prodded by others too. I get my act together now that I have new inspiration.

Dear Lurking, since you and Pam are betting on what we are going to post at jpfmovies, here is your chance to win a dvd from me.
Sometime this month we are going to post an off-beat critically acclaimed war drama, I’ll leave the movie’s title with JPF movies in a sealed envelope, only to be opened once we have recieved your reply. We are honest people here, you guess right, you win.

Wow, Dr. H, thanks for the challenge! Pam and I are excited but we keep changing our minds…first she thought you might review An Officer and a Gentleman (dream on my friend that is not a WAR movie, if that was her guess I was going to say the documentary Remember the Warriors). Now she says Paths of Glory with Kirk Douglas. Okay, that’s a worthy guess, but I say, it’s going to be something off the beaten path. Plus, based on past experience, it might be an Asian movie. So I WAS thinking Ran. But then I thought you guys might try to trick us with a war movie that people don’t think of as a war movie–like Star Wars, or Independence Day. And then, I remembered something Dr. H said in another review. And my new theory is, Saving Private Ryan.
So, our final choices:
Pam: Paths of Glory
me: Saving Private Ryan
Are we even close? If we are totally wrong are you going to give us a second guess? (Can’t blame me for trying!)
